| MIXING PROCEDURE | Initially the 10 Kgs. Resin is to be taken in 50 Ltrs. Water. Acid is then added and stirred. Additional quantity of 50 Ltrs. of water is then added and stirred. The solution is then left for ageing before use. This procedure leads to the development in the solution of a blue opalescence characteristic of colloid formation. This “acid colloid” has the necessary cationic properties and is then suitable for addition to the stock in suitable proportions to impart desired wet strength and absorbency. | |
